Professionalism
About Professionalism
Communications management continues to play a crucial role in the provision of technical solutions, the delivery of high value services, competitiveness and often the very dependence of an organisation to survive. As Information and Communications Technology becomes more critical to business success so does the need to ensure that professional standards are adopted and maintained.
The forum recognises the importance of professionalism and seeks to develop and promote a more professional approach in the exploitation and application of ICT and its management.
The priorities identified for the Professionalism Forum are:
- Qualifications Framework - to recognise professional qualifications
- Competences - to demonstrate skills and competences
- CPD - to recognise continued learning, practice and accreditation
- Governance & Administration - to establish processes, discipline and support
- Code of Conduct - to develop professional standards and ethics
A key feature of the Professionalism Forum will be the development of products and services, such as education and training, career development and sharing of best practice.
