How to Achieve Best Practice in Reducing your Organisation's Carbon Footprint

'Going Green is one of the buzz-words of the moment - but what does it mean, and how can you 'do it' in realistic terms, to benefit business as well as environment? This focus day will present practical ways to concrete business reasons for attending to the Green IT debate - whether at the data-storage (and data centre) level or at the user level there are benefits to be had. The BCS through its Carbon Footprint Working Group has been working on best practise guidance specifically aimed at helping the busy professional find their way through the 'green smog' through solid research, expert knowledge in the UK and overseas, and experience in the field. The day will identify trends, likely policy moves, and implications for business in the near future.
