C5ISR in Afghanistan

Lieutenant Colonel Fred Hargreaves and his team have recently returned from Afghanistan, where they have been providing Information and Communication Services in support of operations (‘C5ISR’ in military language).  Fred and his team will outline some of the challenges of providing this support in an austere, bandwidth-limited, multinational environment, where new technology has to exist alongside the old. 

This event will take place in the main conference suite of the Ministry of Defence Main Building, Whitehall.  Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm.  Attendees should arrive no later than 6pm to allow time for security checks on entry for 6.30pm lecture.  A fork supper with wine will be served afterwards in the Memorial Hall on the ground floor from 7.30pm - 8.30pm.
