Trustee Board
David Clarke
Chairman
Chief Executive of BCS
David became CEO of the BCS in May 2002 and is widely acknowledged as having transformed the BCS into the customer service oriented professional body for the IT and Communications profession it is today. Membership of the BCS has boomed over the last four years, doubling in that period, with over 1,200 new members joining every month.
David has spent nearly thirty years involved with IT systems, firstly in the supply side and then from 1995 to 2002 as Chief Executive in the Virgin group of companies, and then Trinity Mirror plc, both companies being highly reliant on the use of IT based systems for their success.
Prior to joining Virgin, David spent the previous eighteen years in increasingly senior UK, European and Global roles with three global technology companies, Hewlett Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Computers. His final role here was European Marketing VP of Compaq.
Carolyn Kimber
Trustee
Chairman of the CMA Strategic Board
Carolyn has worked in our industry throughout her career, in corporate, SME and independent consultancy roles.
She continues to be excited by the ever changing technologies and roles of our profession. Carolyn is equally passionate about CMA and the role it has to play for our members, suppliers, Government and the regulator.
She has previously served for six years on the CMA board as PR director, name change project director, treasurer, vice-chairman and chairman. After a year’s break she found time to offer her services once more to this very worthy and very necessary independent body.
