About CMA
Founded in 1958, CMA is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. We have been supporting our professional members, their businesses, and the communications industry for 50 years.
We comprehensively represent our members to all industry stakeholders - including Government, regulators and suppliers - encouraging information sharing, discussion and debate. Our powerful and respected voice means that CMA campaigns on many issues affecting the business user community.
Through our research, specialist forums, publications, training and events we provide the assistance, information and training so essential in an ever changing business environment. We work with providers of networks and services to achieve the best possible outcome for our members and the industry as a whole.
In 2007 CMA became part of BCS to better address the convergence of communications and IT. We remain an independent company with a board of trustees responsible for management and governance. Our Strategic Board is responsible for the direction of CMA. CMA also acts as the BCS Communications Forum enabling integration within the wider BCS group.
The CMA offices are within the BCS offices in Swindon with further resources at Southampton Street in London.
